On March 27, 2024, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Finance, and the Civil Aviation Administration of China jointly issued the Implementation Plan for Innovative Applications of General Aviation Equipment (2024-2030). The plan proposes that by 2027, China's general aviation equipment supply capacity and industrial innovation capacity will be significantly improved, and a modern general aviation basic support system will be basically established. The new type of general aviation equipment characterized by unmanned, electrified, and intelligent technology will be commercially applied in urban air transportation, logistics distribution, emergency rescue, and other fields. By 2030, a new development model for the general aviation industry characterized by high-end, intelligent, and green development will be basically established, becoming a strong driving force for low altitude economic growth. The plan has identified a series of key tasks, including accelerating breakthroughs in key core technologies, improving the product spectrum of general aviation equipment, accelerating the development of power product series, promoting standardization and modularization of airborne systems, cultivating high-quality and diversified enterprise entities, and building advanced manufacturing clusters. At the same time, the demonstration applications in key areas will be deepened, such as expanding aviation emergency rescue and logistics distribution demonstrations, accelerating urban air traffic demonstrations, and promoting the construction of basic support systems, improving regulatory standards, and establishing safety verification systems. The plan emphasizes the need to strengthen overall coordination and linkage, create a good atmosphere, increase policy support, promote the construction of an efficient integrated industrial ecosystem, and promote the deep integration of general aviation equipment manufacturing and service industry.
