China ITS Industry Alliance (hereinafter referred to as Alliance) and China Classification Society (hereinafter referred to as CCS) successfully issued the first road video camera intelligent level certification to Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Huawei) in China in December 2022, which is of great significance to promote road video camera intelligent level certification in China; to improve standard formulation, product testing and certification closed loop of the Alliance; and to promote the high-quality development of ITS.

In 2022, based on the two standards T/ITS 0152-2020 Intelligent Analysis Function and Classification Requirements for Road Video Cameras and T/ITS 0184-2021 Test Specifications for Intelligent Analysis Functions of Road Video Cameras issued by the Alliance, CCS, team leader of ITS product testing & certification working group of Alliance, formulated and officially released the implementation of TR08132 Special Rules for the Implementation of Road Video Camera Intelligent Analysis Function Product Certification, which can be used to evaluate and rank the intelligent analysis function of the traffic cameras used in road video surveillance scenarios and in VICS roadside perception scenarios. Relevant records have been kept in Certification and Accreditation Administration of the People’s Republic of China.

Based on the above rules and standards for the implementation of road video camera product certification, CCS has conducted a certification audit for the ITS AI bullet camera (X2391 and M2391) produced by Huawei. After the certification audit, Huawei ITS AI tube cameras (X2391 and M2391) have become the first devices in China to win the intelligent level certification of road video cameras, and they have also obtained the road video surveillance scene level III certification.

That Alliance, together with CCS, issued the first road video camera intelligent level certification to Huawei in China in December, 2022 indicated that Chinese ITS field has taken a milestone step in the intelligent level certification of road video cameras.
